It is therefore one factor in this battle for the presidency. <BR/><BR/>If I had a cedula and could vote I'd plumb for him rather than PĂ©rez Molina, but both candidates have defects and rumour has a key role to play in Guatemala's elections - this post was an attempt to expose the (mis)information that surrounds many voters. <BR/><BR/>It does amaze me that someone like the General could be ahead in the polls leading up to the second round. I find even sadder that you repeat rumors and hearsay, and worst that you claim that "many middle class voters don't want this mumbler represent them".<BR/><BR/>I thought you had lived or lived in Guatemala. Obviously you missed some history lessons, or worse, you endorse the opposition: the heirs of a military regime responsible for the worst years of our history.<BR/><BR/>Sad.
