Apagón
A lightning strike in Escuintla took out the power in a large part of Guatemala for well over an hour yesterday evening. We have candles in strategic locations around the house, but some of our neighbours seemed to have little alternative but to pour out onto the street. The valley all around filled with dense pools of gloom. Only the Sindal kept chugging away.
