Things are looking down again for Guatemala's hopes for Germany 2006 after their defeat last night to Costa Rica. With the score at 2-2, Paulo César Wanchope snatched a late winner for the ticos during extra time. Coach Ramón Maradiaga reckons the opposition was unconvincing in victory and that provides some scope for optimism. Next up Panama on August 17, but the real decider will be the home tie against Costa Rica on 12/10, the final day of CONCACAF qualifying.
