Mesoamerican Thingamajig of the Day

The last monument carved in the city of Itzimté (Campeche), erected at the end of the first tuun of the k'atun 10 Ajaw (Jan 10, AD 910). The scene shows T'zul Ajaw (Lord dog?) casting balls of pom (incense) into a brazier. He is sporting unusual canine-design headgear.
