Is Adria Arjona now, officially, the world's most famous Guatemalan?
She has definitely whizzed past her dad, but I suppose the key issue is whether she is also now bigger Hollywood name than Oscar Isaac. If she can lift material like this into a proper star vehicle and maybe even a franchise, perhaps this is indeed the case. (And all the while sporting a backwoodsy hairdo.)
For without her on the cast list the synopsis for this film would not read particularly promisingly...C movie at best, kind of Universal Soldier meets Overlord meets Friday the 13th meets The Boys from Brazil etc. etc.
Dan Stevens is also in it, though not long enough. It seems that after Cuckoo he is going to be typecast as 'creepy German scientist' for a while. Rebecca Hall also provides some Mock-Teutonic scenery chewing and Michael Biehn may be here simply as a nod to some mild Terminator vibes.
