'Historic First'

The left celebrates this as if it is a victory for a bona fide neglected and glass-ceiling’d minority, in a fashion completely contrary to how they would respond to any other nutty religious intrusion into politics e.g. ‘First Scientologist Senator’. Yay!?

And the worst part is this is not at all like ‘First Buddhist Senator’, because El-Sayed openly aligns with the supremacist, often blatantly racist and completely non-oppressed but rather highly oppressive aspects of Islam in the Middle East. A culture that has systematically hijacked officially-sanctioned oppressed status in a manner that would be obvious to anyone willing to kindle their critical faculties. 

El-Syaed’s hypocrisy on all this is troublesome. Ask him why he has nothing to say about the c50,000 protestor deaths in Iran and he will deflect with some stuff about how it is time for the US to quietly wash its hands of any moral responsibility for Islamic crimes, ‘no more global policeman’ and all that, but when it comes to interfering in the conflict between Israel and Gaza his response becomes far more contorted.
