This supernatural thriller about five people trapped in a Philadelphia elevator, one of whom is the devil incarnate, is perfectly serviceable, unlike its key prop. The writing credit for M. Night Shyalaman guarantees a degree of unintended comedy, which is this instance at least, did not detract from the overall enjoyability of the film.
